On Friday 28 October, the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (NordCham) will hold its second-annual business awards. Taking place at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City, the event will gather around two hundred business leaders, investors, and diplomats from across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden to celebrate the best of Nordic business in Vietnam.
Themed ‘Nordic Lights’, the second Nordic Business Awards – and the first to be held in person after the 2021 celebration was hosted online – will recognize Nordic enterprises in Vietnam in six categories: ‘Green Business of the Year’, ‘Best Sustainable Business Initiative (SME)’, ‘Best Talent Development Strategy’, ‘Most Innovative Project’, ‘Work the Nordic Way (Diversity & Inclusion)’, and ‘Nordic Growth’. The winners of each award will be announced on the night and the winners of the first four awards will also go through to the finals of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) business awards on 29 November.
The Nordic Business Awards will also feature an evening of Nordic menu, entertainment, live music, and a raffle. Up for grabs will be prizes donated by world-famous Danish toy brand LEGO, a return flight to Europe donated by Qatar Airways, and two tickets to experience the luxury train from Hoi An to Quy Nhon donated by the Anatara Resort.
Commenting ahead of the event, NordCham Chairman Thue Quist Thomasen, said:
“I am delighted that we are able to once again gather Nordic business leaders, investors, and diplomats together in person. Our members have come through the pandemic stronger, more sustainable, and more successful. The 2022 NordCham business awards will showcase the best that Nordic companies have to offer and highlight their contribution to innovative, sustainable, and inclusive business in Vietnam. We will also look ahead, aiming to build on this success and attract even more companies from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden to invest and do business in Vietnam in 2023.”
David Liden, Chair of the Nordic Business Awards Judges Panel, added:
“We have a difficult decision ahead of us to choose winners from such a crowded field of impressive applicants. We have received more than twice the number of nominations in 2022 compared to our first event in 2021. This shows the strength of our chamber and the success of Nordic business in Vietnam. I would like to thank all those who took the time to enter and wish all our nominees the best of luck.”
