Ministry of Health reported 10,508 new cases today, twelve of them were imported cases and the remaining 10,496 infections were all domestic.
HCM City recorded the most with 6,312 cases, followed by Binh Dương with 2,178 and Đồng Nai with 777.
Among the new cases, 6,740 cases were detected in the community.

As many as 12,683 patients were given the all-clear on Tuesday, meaning 398,461 people have recovered from the disease.
More than 30.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far.
Thirteen out of 63 provinces and cities have not seen any new cases for the past 14 days, according to Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health also announced 276 fatalities related to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday, the country thus saw 15,936 deaths related to COVID-19, making up 2.5 per cent of the total patients. The world’s fatality rate is 2.1 per cent of total patients, according to a report by Vietnam News Agency.

Phan Văn Mãi, chairman of the city People’s Committee, has said, economic activities must be made safe since the disease would prolong.
The city Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control would work to control the disease, and based on the results the city would gradually ease social distancing and reopen the economy, he said.
Easing social distancing would be based on measurable indexes such as the rate of vaccination, transmission rate and the capacity of the city health system, he said.
The city has a system to measure and update these indexes periodically and would soon have a set of safety criteria for businesses, he said.
It is also considering how to design green cards to be provided to people who are fully vaccinated.
It is set to speed up provision of second shots to people who have got the first.
It plans to strengthen the capacity of health facilities, including medical stations at wards and communes, at the grassroots level to improve COVID treatment.
Since August 23 the city has seen red zones, or extremely high-risk areas, steadily shrink and green zones, deemed to be free of transmission risk, expand thanks to the restrictions in place, Vietnam News Agency reported.
