Chairman of the Hà Nội municipal People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Chung presented an investment license to a multifunctional entertainment complex with a horse racing course in the outlying district of Sóc Sơn yesterday.
Invested by South Korea’s Global Consultant Network Co. Ltd and the Hanoitourist Corporation, the project has a total cost of US$420 million. Of the figure, $120 million is contributed by the companies and the remainder is made up of loans.
Speaking at the event, Chung said it is the first-ever horse racing course licensed by the Prime Minister Office. He hoped the project would be launched soon to generate more jobs, raise local income, and especially strengthen the Việt Nam-South Korea strategic partnership.
He committed all possible support to the project and asked Sóc Sơn authorities to step up site clearance and assist investors in administrative procedures.
The work covers over 125ha in Tân Minh and Phù Linh Communes and will operate for up to 50 years starting from the license day.
