According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City has 4 underground parking lots in the central area to meet about 6,300 cars and 4,000 motorbikes, including Le Van Tam park, Trong Dong stage, Hoa Lu stadium and Tao Dan park. However, up to now, no yard has been built.
Recently, Investment and Development of Underground Space Joint Stock Company (IUS) – the investor of the project to build an underground car park at Le Van Tam Park (District 1) has proposed to extend the project implementation time by 2 years. This is a project that started in 2010, and in 2019 the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City terminated the contract and withdrew the project.
