The People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District announces an extension of pedestrian activities in the area during the upcoming holidays: the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2024) and International Workers’ Day (May 1).
According to the announcement by the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District, pedestrian spaces around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity will be open from 7:00 PM on April 26 to midnight on May 1. Pedestrian streets in the Old Quarter area will operate from 7:00 PM to midnight for 6 days during the National Reunification and International Workers’ Day celebrations.
Due to the extended holiday period and the need to compensate on May 4 (Saturday) of the following week, the schedule for pedestrian activities in Hoan Kiem District will be adjusted accordingly the week after.
As per the new schedule, pedestrian spaces around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity will be open from 7:00 PM on May 4 until midnight on May 5. Pedestrian streets in the Old Quarter area will operate from 7:00 PM to midnight on Saturday and Sunday (May 4 and 5).
The district committee has instructed Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company and ward authorities, along with relevant parties, to coordinate efforts to ensure security, safety, and sanitation for residents and visitors.
