As people look to travel in their own backyards in the wake of the global pandemic, I’m writing with a round-up featuring various ‘Staycation’ opportunities at hotels and resorts across Southeast Asia.

Vietnam has been hailed the world over for its response to the global pandemic. The country notched up some 99 consecutive days without a single case of COVID-19 via community transmission until a virus flare-up was detected in Danang late last month. With Vietnam’s national borders still shut tight amid the global pandemic, the country’s tourism industry is very much reliant on domestic travelers.
