On April 20, VASCO announced that from April 19 to October 25, 2024, they will increase flight frequency between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau on Fridays and Sundays. Previously, this route operated only 5 flights per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Specifically, from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, departures from Ho Chi Minh City will be at 2:05 PM and from Ca Mau at 3:30 PM. On Fridays and Sundays, departures from Ho Chi Minh City will be at 5:45 AM and from Ca Mau at 7:10 AM.

Ca Mau Airport is categorized as a 4C airport, with a passenger terminal consisting of 2 stories and a capacity of 200,000 passengers per year, a runway measuring 1,500 meters by 30 meters, suitable for operating ATR72 aircraft or equivalent.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport had approved the master planning of Ca Mau Airport for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision until 2050.
According to the comprehensive plan for the development of the national airport system, by 2030, Ca Mau Airport will be a 4C airport with a capacity of 1 million passengers per year; by 2050, it will be a 4C airport with a capacity of 3 million passengers per year.
