During the holiday period of April 30th, May 1st, and peak summer season, Vietnam Airlines is operating and selling an additional 2,000 flights starting after 9 PM on routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City…
These night flights are increased to provide more options for passengers, meeting the increased travel demand during peak times, amidst reduced supply due to engine recalls.
The airline is also offering many economy class tickets at attractive prices during these hours, such as economy saver tickets (from 1,724,000 VND/segment or 1,929,000 VND/segment, inclusive of taxes and fees) for journeys between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, or economy saver tickets on routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon.
At the same time, to stimulate domestic tourism demand, Vietnam Airlines is implementing various promotional programs during this period. Passengers purchasing flexible economy or standard economy tickets receive a 20% discount on their next flexible economy or standard economy ticket; 10% discount for groups of 4 or more passengers and 15% discount for groups of 8 or more passengers; early bird fares with a 5% discount on domestic routes when booked 30 days in advance of departure.
Additionally, the airline is offering many business class promotions starting from 1,909,000 VND/leg (inclusive of taxes and fees) for certain domestic flights departing before 6 AM and after 9 PM. These programs may have conditions regarding departure times and flight segments.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines reports that in the first two days of the holiday period (April 27th and 28th), the occupancy rates for many tourist routes have reached 70-90%, such as Hanoi – Hue, Chu Lai, Quy Nhon, Dong Hoi, Nha Trang; Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Dong Hoi, Da Lat, Van Don. Flights from Hanoi to Da Nang and Phu Quoc are over half full, and a strong increase is expected in the week approaching the holiday period.
