Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Phan Dinh Thao, General Director of HTS International Co., Ltd., said that the opening of tourism is of course a very good sign for the tourism industry in general and for travel businesses in particular.

“Opening tourism will pave the way for foreign tours to be able to restart. “Currently, global fuel prices have increased sharply worldwide due to the influence of the world situation, so service prices will also increase due to the general influence, so there will be no ‘shock’ stimulus packages. ‘ to stimulate demand for tourism, which has been low due to the impact of the epidemic, now has higher consumer prices”, Mr. Thao analyzed.
Guests won’t come right after opening

The epidemic lasted for 3 years, the closure of the tourism market has exhausted domestic and international businesses and travel agencies. For example, in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, currently, up to 80% of companies and units operating in the field of tourism and services have closed or suspended their business because of too many difficulties.
Mr. Le Kim Nhut, Director of Young Nha Trang Entertainment Joint Stock Company, said that opening the door to welcome tourists is a great joy for all businesses operating in the field of tourism.
However, according to Mr. Nhut, having specific criteria and guidelines will help businesses deploy faster and feel more secure in promoting and expanding the market to bring tourists to the resort.
“According to the survey, many international markets are very interested in coming to Vietnam’s coastal cities. In which, Russian tourists still make up a large proportion, then Korea, China, then Eastern European countries and Europe. Tourism businesses need help
Meanwhile, the General Director of Furama Resort Danang is worried that when tourism opens, there will be a labor shortage.
According to Mr. Quynh, for the past 2 years, the tourism industry has been frozen, so most of the employees have quit their jobs or looked for other opportunities. When the tourism industry reopens, businesses will have a shortage of high-quality workers.
“Human resource issues will be very hot when the tourism industry recovers. For example, Ariyana Beach Resorts & Suites Danang has 1,600 rooms. When opening, it will require more than 1,000 employees, and recruiting will certainly be very difficult, “said Quynh.
The General Director of Furama Resort Da Nang suggested that the Central Government should have a policy to support training funds for staff of accommodation businesses through academies.
“There should be funding to support rent and transport for foreign employees who come back to Da Nang to work. This is also a way to attract foreign workers, many of whom have been established in Quang Nam and Da Nang, but had to return home due to difficulties, and have switched to another profession,” he said. .
And Mr. Pham Minh Nhut, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, General Director of Hon Tam Nha Trang Sea Joint Stock Company, said that many hotels and resorts in Khanh Hoa have difficulty in recruiting personnel to work. prepare to expand operations when tourism is fully open.
“Before the epidemic, Hon Tam had more than 600 employees working to serve tourists. At the beginning of 2022, businesses actively recruited, but so far, they have only recruited about 200 regular employees,” said Nhut.
Including Khanh Hoa province, in the most difficult period, 80% of direct workers in the tourism industry (equivalent to 40,000 employees) of this locality had to quit and change jobs. The majority of personnel most affected are in the accommodation segment, tour guide and tour company.
