HCM CITY — A series of books about the late President Hồ Chí Minh has been published by the HCM City-based Trẻ (Youth) Publishing House to mark the 131st anniversary of his birthday (May 19, 1890).
The publication also celebrates the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 term on May 23.
Highlighted books include three new titles about the President and his career, Bác Hồ Với Quốc Hội Việt Nam (Uncle Hồ and Việt Nam National Assembly), Bác Hồ Với Chính Phủ Việt Nam (Uncle Hồ and Vietnamese Government) and Bác Hồ Với Mặt Trận Việt Minh (Uncle Hồ and the Việt Minh Forces).
The books describe the President’s work and thoughts as well as his role in the country’s history and developments.
Bác Hồ Với Mặt Trận Việt Minh features the leader’s remarkable work to communicate with and reach out to Vietnamese people of different classes and backgrounds in the 1940s, as well as his dedication to the revolutionary cause.
The book features the President on September 2, 1945, reading the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam, now the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam.

In the two new titles, Bác Hồ Với Quốc Hội Việt Nam and Bác Hồ Với Chính Phủ Việt Nam, the President’s role in the National Assembly and government in the first period, starting in 1945, is featured.
The books include talks by historians and cultural researchers about the President’s great contributions to the Party and nation.
Another book collection is Di Sản Hồ Chí Minh (Ethical Legacies of the Late President Hồ Chí Minh).
The collection of five books include many documents, photos and pictures about the President—a great leader, a national hero who devoted all his life to national independence and freedom and happiness of the people, while tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world.
“Each book from the series about Uncle Hồ offers readers with useful knowledge on Uncle Hồ’s life and revolutionary career, and his contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the liberation of the nation and to the movement of international communists and workers,” said Hoàng Văn Hương, a resident of Bình Thạnh District.
