Four members in the family of a Covid-19-infected man in the northern province of Ha Nam have tested positive for the virus.
They are the mother, father, wife and child of the 28-year-old man who came back to Vietnam from Japan on April 7. After finishing a 14-day quarantine in Danang City, he returned to his family in Ly Nhan District’s Quan Nhan Village and tested positive for Covid-19 on April 27 following the display of the symptoms of a sore throat and fever during the self-quarantine at home. He is now being treated at the Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital.
Up to 32 people who had close contact with him have been defined and quarantined.
Further tests will be carried out to confirm his family members as Covid-19 patients.
Quan Nhan Village, which is home to 320 households with 1,068 people, has been sterilised and locked down.
