
Hospitals in the central province of Quang Nam on Monday morning announced the full recovery of 19 Covid-19 patients, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country 834.
Among the patients released today, ten have been treated at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital while nine others at the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
Since the new virus outbreak occurred in the neighbouring city of Danang on July 25, Quang Nam has closed all non-essential services and deployed social distancing measures.
On August 28, the locality eased social distancing in Duy Xuyen and Dien Ban Districts and Hoi An Town after recording no new infection cases in nine days.
The city has so far recorded a total of 96 Covid-19 patients and 65 of them have been successfully treated. No deaths have been confirmed.
As of Monday morning, Vietnam reported 1,049 Covid-19 infection cases including 834 recovered patients and 35 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
Of the patients being treated at hospitals nationwide, 27 have tested negative for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, 24 twice and 35 three times. Six others are critically ill, accounting for 3% of the current active cases.
