Daughter Severely Wounded by Father in Hai Phong; Case Now Under Investigation

Initial information, at around 12 noon on July 22, Do Van Hien (53 years old, residing in Kien Doi 1 village, Kien Thuy commune) and his ex-wife, Ms. NTH (51 years old, Kien Thuy commune) had a conflict and argued. Seeing that, Ms. D.TT (28 years old, daughter of Mr. Hien and Ms. H) stepped in to stop him but was slashed straight in the head by her father with a knife, causing him to collapse on the road. After committing the crime, the subject walked away for about 3 meters and then returned to slash Ms. T again.

Seeing her daughter being slashed, Mrs. NTH ran to call for help from the locals. Many people in the neighborhood also immediately showed up, coordinated to take the victim to the emergency room, and reported the incident to the police.

Upon receiving the news, Kien Thuy Commune Police arrived at the scene and arrested Do Van Hien.

Currently, the Kien Thuy Commune Police have handed over the case to the Hai Phong City Police Investigation Agency for handling according to regulations. It is known that Do Van Hien has a criminal record.
