HCM CITY — The 21st HCM City Tourism Festival opened on Thursday at September 23 Park in District 1.
The event has brought together 32 businesses operating in the fields of travel, transportation and aviation, along with tourism agencies from 41 cities and provinces to promote destinations and stimulate tourism.
Nearly 900 tourism products and services with discounts of up to 45 per cent from travel agencies, hotels, tourist attractions and other service businesses are offered to visitors at the event.
One of the highlights of the festival is activities associated with the 50th anniversary of Liberation of South Việt Nam and National Reunification, including tour programmes associated with the culture and history of Sài Gòn, now HCM City.
There is a space to interact, experience, and introduce the unique culture, cuisine, and products of each region.
The event also features a series of community activities, art performance programmes and in-depth seminars.
Trần Thị Bảo Thu, representative of Vietluxtour, said that her company offers a variety of tours to all three regions in the country.
In addition, outbound tours departing between June and July to Thailand, Singapore, Laos, and India are sold with discounted prices to stimulate tourism, Thu said.
The travel products are designed with a variety of services and prices to meet the needs of various customer segments. In particular, Vietluxtour offers discounts to nearly 2 million early-bird group bookings at the event, she said.
Organised by the Department of Tourism in coordination with the city Tourism Association, the event runs until Sunday. —VNS
