On December 20, a grand ceremony will commemorate the 80th anniversary, featuring an epic theatrical performance celebrating the People’s Army’s illustrious history. Other notable activities include the conclusion and award ceremony of the “Portraits of Soldiers” photography competition, as well as cultural and artistic exhibitions at Hoan Kiem Lake’s pedestrian zone in Hanoi.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Hue and Le Loi pedestrian streets will host the “Unforgettable Song” art program and exhibitions chronicling the People’s Army’s 80-year legacy. Additionally, the live television broadcast “The Path of History” at the Vietnam Military History Museum promises a blend of historical storytelling and artistic performance.
Earlier, on December 15, Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Information and Communications launched a week-long series of activities, including book fairs, experiential programs, and cultural performances to commemorate both the Army’s 80th anniversary and 35 years of the All-People National Defense Day.
Running until December 22, these events aim to highlight the People’s Army’s heroic journey and its pivotal role in building Vietnam’s comprehensive defense system, resonating with citizens, officials, and military personnel alike.
