HCM CITY – HCM City’s District 7 has planned various activities to amuse visitors during the upcoming National Day (September 2) holidays.
They include the launch of the Sky Garden commercial and culinary street in Tân Phong Ward.
Nguyễn Thị Bé Ngoan, deputy chairwoman of the District 7 People’s Committee, said its opening ceremony would be held on August 30 evening.
This will be followed by nine days of cultural and sports activities.
The opening of the Sky Garden street aims to position District 7 as a fun weekend tourism destination.
There will be a Vietnamese – Japanese – Korean music mashup show, flash mobs and a “Light-up the Nightown D7” event.
The “Vietnam-Korea Colours” music exchange will feature singers from the two countries, traditional musical instrument concerts, fashion shows, acoustic music sessions, and others.
There will also be traditional games and sports for young families and workshops on eco-friendly handicrafts.
Stalls will be set up to showcase Vietnamese products and souvenirs.
To manage the expected increase in visitor numbers, the district People’s Committee will collaborate with Saigon Public Transport Co., Ltd. to operate buses between the local Wonderland Park and Nguyễn Đổng Chi Street to Sky Garden. – VNS
