Currently, Hue City is developing this model on four routes: To Huu Street, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Bui Thi Xuan Street, and the centralized administrative area of Thua Thien Hue Province. On sidewalks 6 meters wide, a 1.45-meter-wide bicycle lane will be allocated. On 11-meter-wide sidewalks, two 2.9-meter-wide bicycle lanes will be designated.
Truong Van Truong Son, from the Project Management Board of Investment and Construction of Class II Urban Development Program in Thua Thien Hue, said, “The project aims to provide safer bicycle lanes and enhance convenience and green spaces for residents.”
Construction teams are finalizing the painting and marking of these bicycle lanes in Hue’s new urban area. Residents are optimistic that the bicycle lanes will improve safety and address current infrastructure issues, particularly by making it easier for children to cycle without stopping and walking the bike.
