A series of cultural and tourism programs have been launched to attract visitors to Ha Nam during the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week.

On the evening of May 14, the Tam Chuc tourist site in Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province, held the opening ceremony of this year’s Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week. The event is organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 – September 21, 2023).
Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Ha Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Tam Chuc is expected to welcome 20,000 tourists on the opening day. Currently, hotels, guesthouses, and homestays are fully booked during this period.
“Since the beginning of the year, the number of visitors to Ha Nam’s tourist destinations has increased significantly, especially to spiritual and cultural sites. The province has invested in infrastructure and expanded routes to tourist attractions,” Mr. Tuan said.
The opening program included a cultural exchange of traditional Vietnamese and Japanese art performances, a Kyogen comedy performance, and an art program called “Proud of Ha Nam”. Nearly 400 artists and actors participated.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Yamada Takio, the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, said: “Today’s event is evidence of the good and lasting cooperation between Ha Nam province and Japan. Through the traditional Kyogen comedy performance, I hope you can once again discover the depth of the cultural connection between Japan and Vietnam.”
During the Cultural and Tourism Week in Ha Nam, a series of cultural and tourism programs were organized to attract visitors, including festivals of hot air balloons, paramotors, boat racing, surfing performances, and wilderness running competitions. The goal is to promote and attract tourists, as well as create opportunities for investors to explore, exploit, and invest in the development of tourism in Ha Nam province.
This is an annual activity to continue introducing, promoting, and honoring the cultural values and tourism products of Tam Chuc Tourist Area in particular and Ha Nam province in general, while also contributing to the conservation, preservation, and promotion of the cultural values of Ha Nam province.
