Thai Nguyen is regarded to be near Hanoi, roughly 100 kilometers distant, or two hours by automobile. There is a region 45 kilometers from this city center that has natural beauty with nature of mountains and woods, and running streams, but it is still unknown to many people. Furthermore, its name also evokes a somewhat creepy feeling. That is the “Cua Tu” (Death Door) stream.
Cua Tu Stream lies hidden in the forest, winding its way through the cliffs and including seven waterfalls. Therefore, the stream area has a beautiful natural landscape. There are also groups of hills and ancient woods. Most of them are still untainted by human influence.

Cua Tu Stream – a suitable place for trekking trips
The landscape of the Cua Tu stream is thought to be ideal for trekking and adventure activities. Because this area is mostly made up of woods, rivers, streams, and massive boulders. All are in perfect condition, with little to no human touch.

As previously stated, the stream is generated by seven waterfalls. These waterfalls are also “numbered,” with Cua Tu 1, 2, 3, and so on up to Cua Tu 7. To get to Cua Tu 1, travelers must first hike through the Hoang Nong tea highlands. This is believed to be the sole entry in this region. Cua Tu 1 appears to tourists as a long, deep, chilly, and clean pool running between two rocks upon arrival. Many tourists observed that, despite being a walking trail, the road to Cua Tu 1 is rather easy to navigate and adequate for the majority.

However, the terrain becomes rougher after Cua Tu 2, testing the most daring travelers. “Cua Tu is gentle, the stream is clear, and it runs through the mountains. However, the deeper you go in, the faster the water flows and the rocks become more slippery,” Hong Minh, the visitor, commented.
Between Cua Tu 2 and Cua Tu 3, there is an area known as a stone slide, which is made up of water that has been running for a long time and has been progressively eroded by rocks, leaving a fascinating slide for tourists.
Visitors may participate in unique immersive activities at Cua Tu 2 and Cua Tu 3. They may participate in waterfall jumping, slides down the stream, or cosplay mermaid while admiring the silver-white Paradise Waterfall.

To explore all seven Cua Tu, tourists will require more time and better, more resilient health, as well as the assistance of safety equipment. After enjoying stream trekking, some visitors rent a guesthouse nearby for convenience and continue to explore the local beauties.
To avoid the rainy and cold seasons, the best time to visit the Cua Tu stream is during the summer months, from May to the end of November. According to the experiences of many travelers, the cost is just approximately 2 – 3 million VND/individual, depending on the duration of stay, and hiring a guide is available with or without eating or drinking. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, especially for individuals who are passionate about exploring nature.
