According to a number of retail chains, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in Vietnam will fall into a serious shortage of goods in the near future because distributors in Vietnam are limited in supply.
This situation happened because Foxconn’s world’s largest iPhone factory had to stop production due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Distributor delays delivery date
According to a representative of Mobile World, the upcoming delivery of iPhone Pro/Pro Max is expected to be delayed by 2-3 weeks due to Apple’s production situation being delayed due to supply chain problems.
Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of CellphoneS, also shared with Zing that distributors have delayed the delivery of iPhone 14 to the Vietnamese market.
Specifically, according to the previously announced delivery schedule, in early November, the Vietnamese market will receive a large number of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
This shipment is planned to be provided to dealers in the 2nd and 3rd week of November, enough to pay the entire number of machines to customers who have pre-ordered.

“However, on the morning of November 2, distributors simultaneously announced that 90% of the goods in the first batch of November will be delayed. Not only that, next 2-week delivery schedule is also completely disappeared,” Mr. Huy revealed.
Contacting FPT Shop system about this issue, Mr. Nguyen The Kha, Director of Mobile Telecommunications Division of FPT Shop system, said that the shipment in November is arriving 3-5 days later than expected due to logistics problems. This position also did not disclose whether the number of machines in the shipment was reduced or not.
Information with Zing, a representative of a retail chain, shared that distributors in Vietnam are having trouble importing goods from Apple because the company is limited in supply.
This is a large shipment of iPhone 14 that has been announced before and retail chains also have information about deposit payment to customers. With very high demand from users for the iPhone 14 Pro line and the situation of wholesalers, this will strongly affect the revenue of dealers.
Apple affected by supply
According to Bloomberg news, China has ordered a blockade of the Foxconn manufacturing plant (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd) in Zhengzhou city, Henan province (China) due to concerns about Covid-19.
In a notice on the official WeChat account of the local government, the iPhone assembly plant will have to stop working for 7 days, from the afternoon of November 2 and until the end of November 9.

The factory shutdown comes as Apple is trying to increase production lines to meet demand for iPhone 14.
During the third-quarter earnings call, Apple executives said they are still trying to work out supply constraints for the iPhone 14 Pro line.
According to a Reuters report, Apple’s iPhone production line could shrink by up to 30% at one of the world’s largest factories due to tightening restrictions because of the Covid-19 epidemic in China.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said that more than 10% of global iPhone production capacity is affected because Foxconn stops production.
Kuo believes this situation will lead to restrictions on iPhone shipments in the fourth quarter. Earlier, at the end of September, Apple confirmed to start production of iPhone 14 series in India. The announcement comes days after Foxconn joined hands with Indian conglomerate Vedanta to manufacture semiconductors in the country.
Observers assessed that this move could seriously affect the operation as well as the phone production line of the factory when Foxconn is the largest iPhone factory in the world.
