Tests done by HCMC Pasteur Institute at 20:00 PM on March 22 show that there are 7 new Covid-19 infection cases in HCMC and the Mekong Delta.
“Patient 100” is a 55-year-old male, located in District 8, HCMC. He used to suffer from diabetes and arthritis. On March 3, he flew from Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia to Vietnam on the flight AK524 of AsiaAir carrier. He got self-quarantine at home. However, from March 4 to March 17, he went to The Jamiul Anwar Mosque 5 days/time at 157B/9 Duong Ba Trac, Ward 1, District 8, HCMC.
On March 18, although this patient hasn’t had any sign of infection, the District 8 Health Center took the samples to monitor. On March 22, HCMC Pasteur Institute concluded that the sample was positive for the novel coronavirus. Currently,
“Patient 100” is isolated at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases HCMC.
At the same time, Dong Thap isolation area detects 4 new coronavirus cases. All patients shared the same flight (VN0050) from England to Can Tho on March 18. Upon entry, they had no sighs of illness and immediately took to the isolation area in Dong Thap. 4 infection cases including:
“Patient 101” is a 26-year-old female, located in Vung Tau City. Her seat number is 26F.
“Patient 102” is a 9-year-old female, located in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. Her seat number is 20D.
“Patient 103” is a 22-year-old male, located in Phu Nhuan District, HCMC. His seat number is 12F.
“Patient 104” is a 33-year-old female, located in District 12, HCMC. Her seat number is 27D.
In Tra Vinh isolation area, there are 2 new cases, all patients are customers on the flight AK575 of AiAsia carrier. Similar to 4 patients above, these 2 patients didn’t have any sign of illness when entrying.
“Patient 105” is a 35-year-old female, located in Cho Moi Town, An Giang. Her seat number is 6E.
“Patient 106” is a 20 year-old female, located in Chau Phu Town, An Giang. Her seat number is 6C.
