With the rising ease of access to cameras and smartphones, many predict an increase in individuals actively recording traffic violations. For as little as 1 million VND, one could invest in a GoPro camera mounted on a helmet, patrol the streets, and potentially record multiple violations daily.
Top 10 Common Motorcycle Traffic Violations and Penalties to Be Aware Of:
1. Riding on pavement, footpath, or wrong lane: Fine up to 6 million VND
2. Driving in the wrong direction: Fine up to 6 million VND
3. Not wearing a helmet: Fine up to 600,000 VND
4. Turning right on a red light without permission: Fine up to 6 million VND
5. Ignoring traffic light signals: Fine up to 6 million VND
6. Wearing headphones or earphones while riding: Fine up to 1 million VND
7. Using a mobile phone while driving: Fine up to 6 million VND
8. No motorbike driving license: Fine up to 8 million VND
9. Allowing an unlicensed person to operate your vehicle: Fine up to 10 million VND
