After a two-year pause, Da Nang has officially relaunched its aerial tourism service, offering helicopter sightseeing tours over the vibrant coastal city.
On July 3, a representative from Northern Helicopter Company confirmed that the helicopter tours, suspended since the pandemic, resumed operations on July 2. The tours are operated using the EC 155B1, a twin-engine helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters in France, capable of carrying between 10 and 12 passengers.
From the air, visitors can take in spectacular views of Da Nang’s iconic landmarks, including the Dragon Bridge, the Love Bridge, and the marina, offering a fresh perspective on the city’s dynamic landscape.
Travelers can choose between two tour options. The basic tour lasts 10 minutes, departing from Nuoc Man Airport and following a route along the Han River, past Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Peninsula, and My Khe Beach before returning to the airport. The price is just under 3 million VND per person.
For those seeking a more expansive experience, the premium tour offers a 20-minute flight along the same initial route before continuing on to the ancient town of Hoi An, before heading back to Da Nang. This tour is priced at nearly 6 million VND per person.
Sources tell Vietnam Insider that the operator also offers customizable flights. Passengers can request routes from Nuoc Man Airport to destinations such as Cham Islands, Ly Son, the My Son Sanctuary, and even the imperial city of Hue, creating unique experiences tailored to their interests.
Da Nang’s helicopter tours were first launched in February 2015 but were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The service briefly resumed in 2022 before being halted again for various reasons. Now, with demand for unique travel experiences rising, the city’s skies are once again open for exploration.
