More than 340 Vietnamese citizens returned home from Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday.
The flight conducted by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines transported passengers who are children, the elderly, the sick, stranded tourists, students who have completed their study but lack accommodation due to dormitory closures and those living in difficult circumstances.
Vietnamese representative agencies in Australia and New Zealand helped the passengers in travelling to airports in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia for the flight. They were also supported for check-in procedures.
Vietnam Airlines strictly conformed to Covid-19 prevention regulations during the flight.
After landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City, all passengers and crew members were taken to quarantine sites.
