Three more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Vietnam on Thursday morning, two linked to Quảng Nam and one repatriated from Saudi Arabia.
The total number of coronavirus cases now stands at 883.
Nine people from Quảng Ngãi, Bạc Liêu and Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu provinces have made a full recovery from the virus.
One of the new cases is a 40-year-old woman from Hà Nội’s Ba Đình District. She returned to the country on a flight from Saudi Arabia last Sunday and was immediately quarantined on arrival.
She is being treated at Bạc Liêu Province’s General Hospital.
The other two cases are a 51-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman.
The man lives in Gò Vấp District, Hồ Chí Minh City but was taking care of his mother in Quảng Nam General Hospital. Since testing positive, he has been isolated at the hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
The woman is from Hội An City and is also being treated at Quảng Nam General Hospital. It is understood she caught the virus from her daughter.
The new recoveries announced by the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, brings the amount of people to be given the all-clear to 409.
So far, 17 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 complications.
