Two Vietnamese women repatriated from Russia and a Malaysian man brought to the country as an expert worker have tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of patients in Việt Nam to 1,113.
The two women, a 20-year-old from Thanh Hóa’s Thạch Thành District and a 26-year-old from Thái Bình’s Tiền Hải District, both arrived in Việt Nam from Russia on September 26 at Cần Thơ Airport in Cần Thơ City. They were both quarantined on arrival.
Also a 37-year-old man, an oil expert from Malaysia, tested positive after he landed on Saturday at Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport. He was sent to a quarantine facility in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province
The ministry also confirmed on Tuesday that one more COVID-19 patient has recovered, taking the total number of people who have beaten the virus to 1,026.
The country has gone 41 days without community transmissions and more than 13,845 people are currently in quarantine at medical facilities, specialist centres and their homes.
