Three Uzbekistan returnees quarantined upon arrival became Vietnam’s latest Covid-19 cases, taking the national tally of active cases to 88.
The three men, aged 37-41 and numbered 1064-1066, were from north-central Quang Binh, Central Highlands’ Dak Lak and south-central Binh Dinh provinces, the Health Ministry said Thursday evening.
They flew from Uzbekistan to Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport on the same flight on September 2 and were quarantined upon entry.
The men tested positive for the novel coronavirus on September 15-16. They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
Thursday also saw four Covid-19 cases, aged 29-62, announced recovered in Hanoi and central Da Nang City.
Vietnam has recorded 1,066 Covid-19 cases so far. 35 people have succumbed to the disease, many being elderly patients with underlying conditions like diabetes and kidney failure.
Over 30,000 are under quarantine. The country has recorded no community transmission in two weeks.
