Authorities in the southern province of Ca Mau on Wednesday took 34 people to a quarantine area for Covid-19 prevention after they were found illegally entering Vietnam.
The group which included 25 women and nine men were detained at 1.40 am the same day while traveling on a fishing boat.
They are all Vietnamese people who managed to come back to the country for Tet Holiday after a time working in Malaysia.
On January 22, authorities in Ca Mau also detained 38 others who illegally entered the country from Malaysia on a fishing boat.
All the people and the boat operator were given health check-ups and sent to quarantine area for Covid-19 prevention.
