The Japanese daily, Nikkei Asia, reported that Vietnam has been listed among the top destinations for Asian tourists seeking to escape the heat.
The website wrote: As global temperatures rise due to factors such as climate change leading to global warming, many Asian tourists are beginning to seek out beaches or tropical islands for relaxation. Recently, destinations with cooler climates, ranging from Scandinavia to the mountainous regions of Vietnam, have become popular choices for many tourists.
Nikkei Asia shared that many Asian tourists are focusing on interesting inland destinations such as Sa Pa in Northern Vietnam, a top trekking destination known for its lush natural surroundings and impressive local culture.

Data from Google Trends shows that the global search term “cool vacation spots” increased by 100% in the 12 months leading up to May 8th. According to Booking.com, 2024 will be a year where many people tend to travel to cooler climates.
Instead of heading to the beaches of Thailand or Bali, many travelers are now choosing destinations such as Alaska, Norway, and Canada. These places offer Asian tourists unique experiences, including opportunities to try activities “rarely found in tropical countries” such as skiing and whale watching.
