Police in Ho Chi Minh City have captured two Pakistanis on suspicion of robbing a man last month in Binh Chanh District.
The two suspects were identified as Zahid Abbas Ali, 37, and Ibrahim Ali, 49, officers said on Thursday, adding that they are facing robbery charges, Tuoi Tre Newspaper reported.
A Vietnamese man, Vo Minh Nam, was selling home appliances on the sidewalk in Pham Van Hai Commune, Binh Chanh District at 11:30 am on November 16, according to police reports.

Two foreign men got out of a white car parked nearby and approached Nam, pretending to make a purchase.
They asked for a gas cooker so Nam pulled out a bundle of cash, pointing at some specific bills to explain the price to the foreigners.
One of the ‘customers’ suddenly snatched the bundle of VND25 million (US$1,087) from the seller before fleeing in the car with his accomplice.
Nam shouted for help and chased after the car, managing to cling to one of the rear-view mirrors.
He dropped on the ground after a while because the mirror had come off.
Officers found the two suspects on Tran Hung Dao Street in Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1 at 8:15 pm on November 20 and took them to their police station.
Both suspects identified themselves as Zahid Abbas Ali and Ibrahim Ali, coming from Pakistan, and admitted to having robbed Nam.
Zahid snatched the cash while Ibrahim drove the car. They already spent the money and sent parts of it to their relatives.
The two Pakistanis have come into and out of Vietnam for many times during the past three years, according to police investigation.

Officers are beefing up their probe to catch the other ring members, according to Tuoi Tre News.
