According to a post on Plo, in the morning of September 3, The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Rescue in Minh Hoá district (Quảng Bình) revealed that many communes in the district were flooded due to rising flood water. Because of the influence of tropical depression, the district has had heavy rain since yesterday. The road to Tân Hoá commune, the section passing through Lạc Thiện underground is over 30 cm flooded. The transportation is difficult.
Flood waters on the Rào Nan River are rising fast and are likely to cause flooding in Tân Hoá floodplain. Many villages in the commune have been divided by flood waters, many families are urgently moving their belongings up, bringing buffaloes and cows to a safe place.
Some communes such as Tân Hoá, Trọng Hoá and Minh Hóa are under local flooding. Authorities in many places are organizing to help people relocate from areas at risk of unsafe.
