TravelPulse ranks Vietnam as the top destination on the journey to discover Asian cuisine. The renowned American travel site suggests that visitors try banh xeo (crispy pancakes) and goi cuon (fresh spring rolls).

In the article “Culinary Delights: Must-Try Foods on Your Next Asian Adventure,” published on July 12, TravelPulse places Vietnam at the forefront of this culinary exploration across the continent.
“The diverse culinary map of Asia offers a feast of flavors, with each country boasting its unique tastes and dishes,” TravelPulse commented.
Regarding Vietnamese specialties, the American travel site recommends warming up with a bowl of hot pho (noodle soup). Then, try banh xeo, a type of thin pancake with a crispy golden crust, filled with shrimp, squid, and meat, or goi cuon, fresh spring rolls served with herbs. These dishes reflect a harmonious blend of flavors and fresh ingredients.

Banh Xeo was also named one of the most popular street foods by CNN in 2016. As Michelin has made its way to Vietnam, their guidebook continuously adds longstanding banh xeo eateries to the Bib Gourmand list (affordable good food). Some visitors even like banh xeo to French crêpes.
The next stop on TravelPulse’s culinary journey is Thailand, featuring pad Thai and tom yum soup. Following that is India, where TravelPulse highly praises tomato curry, biryani, and butter chicken.
In Japan, the focus shifts to tempura (crispy fried seafood served with vegetables) instead of sushi or ramen, which are often seen as the representatives of Japanese cuisine.
