At the IAA Motor Show 2021 held in Munich, Germany, the Swiss brand Micro introduced to consumers a micro electric car called Microlino 2.0.
Microlino 2.0 tiny electric car model has 3 versions – Urban, Dolce and Pioneer, along with 3 battery capacity options. However, only 999 units will be produced in Italy and delivered to customers next month. But in reality, more than 30,000 customers ordered this tiny car.
The Microlino 2.0 electric car is designed based on the BMW Isetta.
On the outside, the car has a cute, round shape like a small egg. LED strips, round headlights are not located in the nose as usual, but integrated on the door mirror.
The car doors are located at the front rather than the sides, and have been hidden handles. To open the car door, the user needs to press the button, and when closing does not need much force because it is an inhalation door.
In terms of interior, to match the low price, Microlino’s cockpit is very simple and minimalist, digital instrument cluster and touch screen display important information.
Race car 3-spoke steering wheel. The dashboard has a horizontal bar that can be attached to a phone and wireless speaker for the driver to listen to music, track navigation or answer calls.
The cabin has a youthful color scheme and is divided into 2 seating positions for the driver and passengers and a 230-liter storage compartment.
The car uses an electric motor for 17 horsepower (12.5kW) and 118Nm (87 lb-ft) of torque, with a maximum capacity of 26 horsepower (19kW). Microlino 2.0 can accelerate from 0 – 50km / h in 5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 90km / h.
There are 3 battery options 6kWh, 10.5kWh and 14kW to help the car travel a distance of 95 – 230km on a single charge. To charge 0-80%, the lithium-ion battery pack needs 4 hours (with 2 types of 6 kWh, 14 kWh) or 3 hours (10.5 kWh).
In terms of safety, the car has a monolithic chassis structure, a completely independent suspension system, with McPherson struts at both front and rear.
The car has a price ranging from 337 to 341 million VND
