Nearly 2 years since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, all cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges in Vietnam have been temporarily suspended. With the desire to actively promote the spirit of sports training, improve the physical fitness of students, and at the same time look forward to the year of Quang Nam Tourism 2022, the annual running tournament for students has a large scale. Vietnam’s largest S-Race has officially been restarted since March 2022. And Quang Nam – the heritage destination is the trigger point of the tournament.
S-Race Quang Nam with the theme “Brave”, brings aspiration to a young generation with good qualities such as courage, perseverance and standard attitude.
At the opening ceremony of the tournament, Mr. Nguyen Thanh De – Director of the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Education and Training shared: “S-Race Quang Nam is the trigger point of the theme series “Skill – Conquer”. – Grow – Rise – Shine.” Through the timelines of S-Race 2022, along with the message “For Vietnamese stature”, the themes at each destination will create an inspiring journey of success. maturity, about connecting students, students with families and teachers.”
With the message “For Vietnamese stature”, S-Race 2022 attracted more than 1502 middle school students (11-14 years old), 1487 high school students (15-17 years old), 695 university and college students (18- 23 years old) in the province of Quang Nam to participate in 6 events of 3 km for male and male high school students; 1.5 km for middle school boys, female students, high school girls and female students. 200 teachers also participated in S-Race Teacher with a distance of 1 km to encourage and cheer up the students’ spirit. S-Race Teacher is a new expanded content in S-Race 2022, to connect teachers and students. The total prize value of S-Race Quang Nam is 132 million VND.
S-Race Quang Nam is also an activation point for S-Race Online for students in 19 central provinces and cities including: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong. S-Race Online in Central Vietnam takes place in 21 days (April 3rd – April 23rd) with the goal of building sports habits and improving health for students, is the continuation of the spirit of S-Race Online. S-Race Quang Nam – “Brave”.
The first 60 athletes to win the award of S-Race Quang Nam will be the 60 media ambassadors of the project and this ambassador network will continue to expand. Together with their love of sports, they will spread positive emotions to more than 25 million students across Vietnam.
