A second test conducted by the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City came back positive.
He is now being treated at Ba Ria Hospital in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

They tested positive for the novel coronavirus on July 20 and have been transferred to Nam Dinh General Hospital for treatment.
The other eight patients were previously sent to an isolation facility in northern Ninh Binh Province, where they tested positive for the novel coronavirus on July 19.
They are now receiving treatment at a polyclinic in Cau Yen Area, located in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh.
