The People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City has requested the relocation of all aquaculture rafts, inland waterway vehicles, tourist boats, fishing boats, etc., from the area of the entrance channel and the water area in front of the dock, belonging to the international passenger port, in preparation for the announcement of the port opening.
On March 13, according to information from the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang), this agency has issued a document requesting all aquaculture rafts, inland waterway vehicles, tourist boats, and fishing boats to be relocated from the area of the entrance channel and the water area in front of the dock of Phu Quoc International Passenger Port in Duong Dong Ward.

The relocation is to be completed from now until the end of March 20. After this period, the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City will direct the functional agencies and Duong Dong Ward People’s Committee to conduct inspections and handle according to regulations.
According to the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City, the relocation is aimed at ensuring the progress of construction items of Phu Quoc International Passenger Port in terms of security, order, and safety at sea in the area of ship channels, ship turning basins, and the water area in front of the dock. It is expected that on March 25, the city will announce the port’s opening.
