Fujifilm’s latest instant camera offers the best of both Instax worlds: It acts as an instant camera and a printer at the same time.
On 30th Aug, the Fujifilm Instax LiPlay made its debut sale at Van Hanh Mall with hundreds Instaxers joining the event. Since its global launch in the last 2 months, this hybrid instant camera quickly became the talk of the town among Instax fans for its luxury and compact design, unique recording function and affordable price.
The Instax LiPlay launching was hold by IMV Company (International Minh Viet Joint Stock Company) – the exclusive distributor of Fujifilm brand in Vietnam market. IMV started to distribute Fujifilm brand since 1997.
Unlike the analogue Mini 9, this new instant camera employs a number of digital features such as a 1/5 inch digital image sensor, a 2.7 inch 230k-dot LCD screen, internal memory storage and a micro SD card slot. In fact, it bears a stronger resemblance to the hybrid Instax Square SQ10 and SQ20 than any of the Mini models, albeit in a smaller, more compact form.
The Instax LiPlay comes with a LCD screen which helps you to review images before printing. Thus, it can save a bunch of film!
Users can also customise the photos with one of up to six filters (B&W, stylish, fisheye, vivid, poster or sepia) and up to 30 frames from the smartphone app. Ten of these frames can be installed on the camera and three filters can be assigned to the camera’s shortcut buttons.
What sets the Mini LiPlay apart from all other Instax cameras is the fact that it allows you to record an audio clip of up to 10 seconds for each shot. These recorded sound bites can be converted into a QR code that is then printed onto the photo. By scanning the QR code with your smartphone, you can replay the sound clip and relive the moment whenever you like.
At around 225g, the LiPlay is the smallest and lightest Instax Mini camera on the market today.
Ms. Duong Thuy Trang, age 19, was the first customer buying Instax LiPlay and she will be using an Instax instant camera for the first time. “I first knew Instax camera since my friend used the Instax Mini 9 during our travel trip. I love DIY and saving my memory in cute Instax photos. When I heard that Instax LiPlay will be launched in August in Vietnam, I immediately ordered it online. What makes me happier is that LiPlay features the recording function, so I can easily enjoy the “old but gold” moments with clear image and voice”.
