
A guest in isolation at the hotel says they have all been put into lockdown after being told of a suspected case of Covid-19 at the hotel in Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, near the Cho Ray Hospital.
According to a report by VNExpress, there are 5 staff and around 48 people staying in the hotel are all confined to their rooms. Four of hotel’s staff, who in contact with the suspected case have been sent to a quarantine camp.
The suspected patient, who traveling to Ho Chi Minh city from Da Nang city, was said to have had a high temperature and breathing difficulties for several days.
Yesterday, Ministry of Health reported two other suspected cases linked to Cho Ray Hospital and City Hospital but not confirmed yet.
In Hanoi, a street in Me Tri Wart of Hanoi’s Nam Tu Lien has been locked down and pizza restaurant at 106 Tran Thai Tong street in Cau Giay District has been isolated today morning after suspected cases of the novel coronavirus were detected.
Vietnam reported eight new cases of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, all of which are in the community, bringing its total confirmed cases to 446, according to its Ministry of Health. The eight new cases, aged from 19 to 68, all are local residents of central Da Nang city, said the ministry.
The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health late Tuesday issued an urgent notice to trace people who have visited the venues or places where confirmed COVID-19 patients have been.
They called on anyone who has visited the following locations in Da Nang City and Quảng Nam Province – Vietnam’s latest COVID-19 hotspots – to come forward and seek medical help as soon as possible.
They must also self-quarantine at home, file a health status declaration at https://tokhaiyte.vn or download NCOVI app (the links for download can be found at https://ncovi.vn) and frequently submit information regarding their health.
