While Ho Chi Minh City offers free visits to the headquarters of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee, some travel companies have announced tour prices ranging from 280,000 to 300,000 VND per person.
Recently, the news that the 110-year-old headquarters of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will welcome visitors for free on April 29th and 30th has attracted the attention of many people. Some travel agencies have also started to pilot tour visits during this time with prices starting from 280,000 VND per person.
Regarding the issue of tour companies charging fees even though the visit is free, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that it depends on the organization of each company.
“The organizers have clearly informed the companies that the tour program is free of charge. If a company charges fees, they must clearly inform the visitors of this and publicly disclose the expenses that the company charges, including fees for visiting other tourist destinations if it is a combined program, transportation, insurance, etc.,” the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said in an interview with Zing News.
