Hanoi Department of Tourism informed on July 25 that the total number of tourists to Hanoi in July 2025 is estimated at 2.8 million, an increase of 10.3% over the same period in 2024.
International tourists are estimated at 553,190 arrivals, up 25.2% over the same period in 2024 (including 390,000 international tourists with accommodation); domestic tourists are estimated at 2.25 million arrivals, up 7.1% over the same period in 2024.
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 10.68 trillion, up 13.9% over the same period in 2024. The average room occupancy rate of the hotel sector is estimated at 56.94%.
In the first 7 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 18.36 million, an increase of 11.6% over the same period in 2024. International tourists are estimated at 4.21 million, an increase of 22.3% over the same period in 2024 (including 2.97 million international tourists with accommodation), domestic tourists are estimated at 14.15 million, an increase of 8.7% over the same period in 2024.
Total revenue from tourists in the first 7 months is estimated at 73,000 billion VND, up 14.5% over the same period in 2024.
It is expected that the capital’s tourism industry will continue to attract visitors through a series of events aimed at celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that the capital’s tourism industry has prepared very early to be able to launch new products, as well as ensure service quality at accommodation establishments.
To welcome a large number of tourists to the capital during the upcoming A80 anniversary, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has directed units and businesses to improve the quality of tourism products and upgrade accommodation facilities, especially those in the city center.
According to statistics from online travel booking platforms Agoda and Booking.com, Hanoi leads the travel trend during the National Day holiday on September 2.
Travel agencies also recorded a similar trend, as a large number of tourists are interested in Hanoi and want to participate in activities celebrating the A80 anniversary, especially the large-scale military parade.
