HÀ NỘI – The fourth Hanoi Festival of Creative and Design 2024 will take place in Hà Nội from November 9 – 17 with the theme “Creative Intersection.”
The annual event is jointly organised by the Hà Nội Department of Culture and Sports and the Architecture Magazine under the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Vietnam Association of Architects.
For the first time, Hà Nội city’s Creative Intersection will be piloted along seven iconic historical heritage sites of the capital city, featuring hundreds of dynamic creative activities across various fields, including architecture, design, fine arts, performances, film and advertising.
The creative intersection is not only a pilot route for future experiences of the creative industry, but more importantly, it serves as a platform to showcase the city’s creative potential, contributing to synergy, connection and attraction of innovative resources. It also awakens the creative spirit of generations of Hà Nội’s citizens.

The main area where the festival takes place is August Revolution Square, including prominent architectural works such as the Hà Nội Children’s Palace, the Government Guest House, the Hanoi Opera House, the National Museum of History, the University of Hanoi and five parks such as the Lý Thái Tổ, Cổ Tân, Diên Hồng Garden and others along the route.
The festival will host nearly 100 creative activities, with highlights including symbolic projects, creative space installations, exhibitions, art performances, interactive experiences, and both international and national forums and seminars on creativity.
Additionally, the spirit of creativity will spread across cultural heritage spaces, creative zones, and traditional craft villages throughout the city’s streets and districts.
The fourth Hanoi Festival of Creative and Design 2024 is taking place in the context that Hà Nội is realising its initiatives as a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Officially joining in 2019, Hà Nội is the first city in Việt Nam to become a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. – VNS
