The British newspaper Telegraph has recently listed Hanoi as one of the best destinations in the world, offering a wonderful experience for solo travelers.

“Vietnam has always been a friendly and welcoming country. Particularly in Hanoi, if you start your journey alone, you might leave with many new friends,” the article states.
Telegraph rated Hanoi’s safety at 4 out of 5, amenities for solo travelers at 5 out of 5, culture and community at 5 out of 5, accessibility at 5 out of 5, and language barrier at 3 out of 5.
“Wifi is available almost everywhere in the city, and tourists can easily purchase cheap SIM cards for mobile internet. In Hanoi, visitors won’t face many language barriers as English is quite common,” the article continued.
Previously, both Da Nang and Hanoi were recognized as some of the best places for solo travelers in Southeast Asia, according to the famous travel magazine Lonely Planet.
In addition to Hanoi, other destinations in Telegraph’s top 10 list include Stockholm, Sweden; Mendoza, Argentina; Oman; the Arctic/Antarctic; the Austrian Alps; Honshu, Japan; Lisbon, Portugal; and New Zealand.
