The northern and northern central regions of Vietnam have been forecasted to face a three-day blazing heat spell.
The hot weather would last until this Sunday.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the northern region and central localities from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri Province will experience temperatures of up to 39 degrees centigrade.
The temperature of more than 35 degrees centigrade will maintain for 10-18 hours per day.
Hanoi today saw the highest temperature of 36-38 degrees centigrade with a very dangerous UV index.
The temperature has been predicted to be higher on Jul 18-19. Meanwhile, the northern central region would suffer more long heat spells.
Experts said that the temperatures measured at weather stations are often lower than outside which is attributed to the difference in terrain.
