Police in the southern Vietnamese province of Binh Phuoc have launched an investigation after two local residents discovered half of a human body that was decomposing at a plantation on Saturday afternoon.
The corpse was found by Dieu P. and his wife as they were looking for vegetables at a cashew plantation in Dong Tam Commune, Dong Phu District at around 2:00 pm.
The couple said they only saw the lower half of the body, which was decomposing.
The case was immediately reported to competent authorities.
Officers have spotted an old travel bag near the site of the incident, but have not been able to find the remaining half of the corpse.
Local police have launched a probe into the case and are seeking assistance from local residents in identifying the victim.
