Around 40 mercenaries were killed during a rocket strike targeting a gas distribution plant on the outskirts of Zaporozhye, the leader of the movement We are together with Russia, Vladimir Rogov, the TASS reported on Monday.
“Yesterday, a Smerch multiple-launch rocket system was used to perform a strike targeting foreign mercenaries who took shelter in a gas distribution plant on Zaporozhye’s southern outskirts. As a result, around 40 foreign mercenaries were killed and 60 sustained injuries of varying degrees,” the activist said in a statement, posted in his Telegram channel.
He added that two armored vehicles, two trucks, 12 SUVs and ten cars were also destroyed by the strike.
Foreign mercenaries fighting on the Ukrainian side are numerous on the Kherson direction, but they are afraid to fight” Kherson Region Deputy Governor Kirill Stremousov told reporter on Monday.
“We also have many mercenaries on the Kherson direction, they are also afraid to fight,” he said, answering a question. “They are very afraid, because we have ramped up our drone work.”
The mercenaries try to probe the defense in small groups, but they have no chances, according to Stremousov.
“We repel all attempts, there have been no breakthroughs,” he underscored.
“Foreign mercenaries gradually refuse to take part in combat action on Kiev’s side, which causes serious internal conflicts”, the TASS quoted the speech of Aide to LPR Minister of the Interior Vitaly Kisilyo.
