HÀ NỘI – The Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in the suburb of Hà Nội will host a series of activities to introduce the culture and traditions of the 54 ethnic groups from now until August 31.

The activities, themed “Summer – Experience and Exploration”, will draw more than 100 people from 16 ethnic minority groups from 11 localities of Thái Nguyên, Hà Nội, Hà Giang, Sơn La, Hòa Bình, Thừa Thiên-Huế, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Ninh Thuận, Đắk Lắk, and Sóc Trăng.
They will perform folk songs and dances throughout the month. Visitors will also have a chance to explore the architect, costumes, arts, festivals, and cuisines of ethnic communities residing in the village.
Besides, the village also introduces folk games, traditional music instruments, and traditional sports of different ethnic groups, while organising art exchanges to enrich visitors’ experience.
The village, located in the Đồng Mô tourism area in Hà Nội’s Sơn Tây township, is described as a ‘common home’ of the 54 ethnic groups across the nation. It covers a total area of 1,544ha with the zone for ethnic minority villages considered the heart. VNA/VNS
