National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has resumed its flight operations linking Hanoi/HCMC and Danang City, starting from today, September 7, after they were grounded due to the reemergence of Covid-19 in the city in late July.
Last night, the airline announced the resumption of flights following the Transport Ministry’s directive on restarting air transport activities from and to Danang City as Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, has been controlled.
To meet the travel demand from passengers, between September 7 and 10, the carrier is operating one daily round-trip flight on the Hanoi-Danang route. Another daily round-trip flight on the HCMC-Danang route will depart from HCMC at 4.05 p.m. and from Danang City at 6.20 p.m. during the period.
After September 11, the schedule for flights from/to Danang City will be updated regularly based on the development of the virus and requests from the authorities, Thanh Nien Online reported.
The airline will continue to adopt Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures on planes carrying passengers from/to Danang City, including maintaining a physical distance between seats, spraying disinfectant in the aircraft, measuring the body temperature of flight crew members and passengers and wearing face masks.
