In Da Nang, many wards and communes have mobilized officials to work overnight, even during holidays, to ensure every resident receives a VND 100,000 cash gift from the Government in celebration of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
On the morning of September 1, at Hong Quang Primary School (Hoa Khanh Ward), large crowds gathered to receive the support. Local forces, including ward officials, militia, police, and youth volunteers, were on hand to assist with paperwork and ID verification, ensuring the process ran smoothly and orderly.
Many residents expressed their happiness upon receiving the gift. Ms. Pham Thi Tu Xinh from Hoa Khanh said: “I’m truly delighted — this is the first time we’ve received a ‘lucky money’ gift from the State for Independence Day. It carries both material and symbolic meaning, making the holiday more complete.”
According to local authorities, in densely populated areas, officials even worked through the night of August 31 until 1 a.m. on September 1 to finish distribution. Despite the heavy workload, officials said they were motivated by the desire to share joy with all families ahead of the historic 80th National Day celebrations.
