
The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control says a patient in his 70s is the county’s first death related to COVID-19.
The man was recorded as patient 428, who resides in Hoi An Town of Quang Nam Province. The health department says his death was due to COVID-19 complications. Tuoi Tre Newspaper reported.
Vietnam has recorded 93 locally transmitted coronavirus cases since the pandemic resurfaced in the community last Saturday. The Health & Life, a state-run media reported.

As of today morning, Vietnam has confirmed 509 Covid-19 cases so far, 140 of them active, 373 have recovered, and there has only one Covid-19 death to date.
Of the 93 cases of Covid-19 community transmission recorded in the last six days, 79 are in Da Nang, eight in Quang Nam, two in Hanoi, two in Ho Chi Minh City, one in Quang Ngai and one in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.
The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health issued an urgent notice to trace people who have visited the venues or places where confirmed COVID-19 patients have been.
They called on anyone who has visited the these locations in Da Nang City and Quảng Nam Province – Vietnam’s latest COVID-19 hotspots – to come forward and seek medical help as soon as possible.
They must also self-quarantine at home, file a health status declaration at https://tokhaiyte.vn or download NCOVI app (the links for download can be found at https://ncovi.vn) and frequently submit information regarding their health.
