BÌNH ĐỊNH — Bình Định Province is honouring its National Intangible Cultural Heritage through a vibrant photo exhibition.
On May 12, the Bình Định Provincial Museum, in coordination with the Quang Trung Museum in Tây Sơn District, organised a photo exhibition titled “National Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bình Định – A Convergence of Colours”.
The event is being held until May 15 to celebrate International Museum Day on May 18 and the 135th birth anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).
Bùi Tĩnh, director of the Bình Định Museum, emphasised that Bình Định is a land rich in history, cultural traditions, and unique heritage, renowned as the “land of martial arts and literature.”
The province is not only famed for its heroic history but also as the cradle of many distinctive forms of intangible cultural heritage, contributing significantly to the richness of Việt Nam’s cultural legacy.
According to Bùi Tĩnh, the exhibition aims to showcase and honour traditional cultural heritage values, while also promoting tourism and raising awareness of Bình Định’s cultural image.
The event is displayed within a cultural heritage space featuring 135 photographs and several artifacts representing various forms of intangible cultural heritage.
Additionally, the exhibition includes interactive areas where visitors can experience performances by artists of hát bội and bài chòi.
